Ahoy, aspiring sock knitters: we are pleased to host Tanis Gray, author of the new book, "Knitting with Disney." Tanis will lead us through the construction of socks commemorating Ariel, the singing mermaid with a rebellious nature who has become beloved by land-lubbers everywhere. You will learn Judy's Magic Cast-On, and from then move to twisted stitches, the fin pattern, a slip-stitch heel, ruffled scallops, and end with an elegant twisted rib cuff with a picot edge. So many techniques!
Materials: we have had yarn kits hand-dyed for this class. Please call the shop to order your kit. Kits cost $36 + tax + shipping and include all yarn required for this project. In addition, you will need: 32" circular needles in US sizes 0, 1, and 1.5; stitch markers; row counter; tapestry needle. If you are supplying your own yarn, you will need 400 yds. of MC and 100-yds of 3 different CC yarns.
Please note that you must have a copy of "Knitting with Disney" (available in the shop) by Tanis Gray in order to access the pattern.
